Yesterday was spent lounging around at my aunt’s lake house for Memorial Day weekend. I’m so glad I decided to go, it was beautiful out and I really just needed to get out of the house. The house sits about 100 feet away from Lake Erie, on Catawba Island and despite Lake Erie smelling like a fish’s asshole, it was nice to get out and photograph something other than my dog. I just re-read that sentence and if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find one of those uh, life things people talk about?
A lot of old people live there during the summer or go there to retire, so there’s no shortage of flowers or gardens to photograph. I’m itching to go back to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens and am hoping they have another orchid exhibit this summer. I remember at one point thinking I’d never take photos of flowers because its “cliche” and “boring” and well, I was full of shit? Because I can’t stop.

I’m still not feeling too great. I’m having issues with my head feeling like it’s too heavy for my neck, which is a pretty bizarre feeling and it won’t go away. I feel crappy in general, and I’m really hoping it’s allergy or season-change related as opposed to oh I don’t know, neck cancer? Lovely. I just don’t feel like myself so hopefully this will pass. Today I felt a little better earlier on, but I got really sleepy and spent the day napping. I live a gripping life, dudes.
