The cost of being healthy

filed under: General |

I just watched a commercial for Advair, which is an inhalant Asthma medication. Everything seemed run of the mill, until the announcer stated that “Advair may cause Asthma related death.”

WHAT.

The side effects for some of these medications are worse than what they’re treating. I think I’ll invent my own medication and list out horrible side-effects and see just how many people STILL use it.

Brentanium! Now available over the counter. Common side effects include Cancer, AIDS, Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Parkinson’s disease, tremors, nosebleeds, unwanted pregnancy, mesothelioma, redness, swelling, itching, burning, liver damage, shingles, rickets, whooping cough, polio, pnuemonia, bubonic plague, sensitivity to light, inability to operate heavy machinery and death. Should not be used by women over thirty, women who are pregnant or who could become pregnant, people with liver problems as this poses a serious threat, people with MAO inhibitors, and women over 35 should not smoke while on Brentanium. Ask your doctor or local pharmacist for details!

Sounds like a fair trade to me.
