Things have been pretty dead around here, and I’ve found myself updating Flickr more than I do my blog. I have been painting a lot as well, if that counts as any kind of excuse.
I have made a few improvements, though. I installed a plugin for my daily photo section to display the Exif data (exposure, depth of field, flash information etc) that’s currently not working, but I’ve emailed the developer so hopefully I’ll get it up and running. I’ve also changed how long my blogs stay open for comments. I was getting spam on entries that were weeks or months old that Akismet wasn’t catching, so now comments on each entry expire after five days. Blahblahblah.
Spammers sure are getting creative these days. I’ve even been fooled by a few of the ones in my photos section at the beginning of the comment, but the dead give away is always at the end though, with FrE3 Ph3nTeRmIn3 CiAliS vIaGra, or similar pharmaceutical product. If I want to experience a four hour erection, I’ll talk to my doctor, thanks though. Who the fuck even writes these? Further more, who FALLS for them? “Oh, they commented on my photo! They also want to sell me illegally obtained Erectile Dysfunction drugs, odd! *clicks link and buys*” Get out of here man.
I’ve been itching to begin a new web project lately, even though I know I’d probably never finish it. Any suggestions? I still have yet to put together a proper portfolio, but that’s more out of “eh I’ll do that when I have a few more client work to showcase” or some other such excuse. I have so many ideas for it, so it would be a total nightmare to put together. Oh who am I kidding, I can’t even update my blog on a regular basis.
Your photographs are so beautiful. I like to take pictures too but I can’t find my camera charger, it sucks.
Spam is such a pain, I’ve had to install several spam-killer plugins and most of them didn’t work. I installed one that’s called Spam Karma 2 and it has worked good so far so maybe you can try that one.
Eep, I’ve been showing more love to flickr than my blog as well… for a minute I was blogging like 9 times a day but that came to a quick halt.

I always wondered why spammers do that le3t typ3 crAp. Hell I’d have a harder time spotting it if they didn’t. Dumb spammers.

I really love your website, nice simplicity goes a long way… I remember you from your old blogs, and I must say… Your designs and style has really improved, and your photography is absolutely stunning! It’s a great feature to have on your page, rather than having images all through your blog. Nice!
