Amazed
I wish I had enough energy or words to write out a big long entry about it, but it was absolutely amazing. I had the chance to spend the weekend with a handful of celebrities, people whom my talent scout discovered, as well as make some awesome new friends and a handful of amazing professional contacts. Our staff is absolutely amazing and I’m so glad I have the opportunity to be around such good people.
I didn’t have any lighting equipment, and I was Photoshop-less the entire weekend, so that was a little challenging, but luckily my talent scout brought her Mac so I was able to edit photos in iPhoto and put together a slideshow in Keynote last minute, and everything went off without a hitch. I also now know what to expect for future showcases, and I can’t wait for the next one in Chicago in May, which will be much bigger. By then I’ll have my Macbook Pro to take with me, so I won’t be having a stroke regarding editing and slideshow software, and we’ll rent lighting equipment specifically for the event.
I have about 300 photos to go through and edit, but I’m so drained emotionally and physically that it’ll probably take me a good two days to get anything done. The experience was incredible and I feel so lucky to be able to do what I love for a living.
So, after a few days of relaxation, expect a giant ridiculous entry with lots of photos regarding the event. Brb while I sleep for a week straight.
